Requiem Eternum DKP System

RE uses a realitively simple dkp system. Everyone starts out with 0 dkp. Every raid you attend gives 30 dkp. You can bid on items for a fixed price. Whoever has the highest dkp total wins the item.

DKP Decay

Everyone's dkp total will be reduced by 10% each week. This is referred to as dkp decay. If the player is in dkp debt then their debt is reduced by 10%. This is done to help counter dkp inflation and to keep the spread of dkp between the highest and lowest at a reasonable amount. The other reasons for the decay are to prevent players who stop raiding or leave the guild from influencing the zero sum and to encourage players to spend their dkp on intermediate upgrades instead of letting the items go to waste.

Item Level DKP Values

The dkp cost of an item is based on it's item level(an internal value assigned by Blizzard) and it's slot. Different slots are worth different amounts because Blizzard allows some slots to have more stats than others. The slot values we use are based on info available from http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:Item_Values

Slot Value
Head, Chest, Legs, 2H weapon 1.00
Shoulder, Hands, Waist, Feet .777
Trinket .70
Wrist, Neck, Back, Finger, Off-hand/Shield .55
1H weapon .42
Ranged Weapons .30

The formula for calculating the dkp is :

item level * slot value * 100 = dkp

For example, Tier 4 shoulders are Item Level 105 and the shoulder slot has a modifier of .777 so the dkp value for the item is 105 * .777 * 100 = 8159.

Alt Raider Online Bonus DKP

If an Alt Raider is not invited to the raid and yet they stay online until the raid ends then they will still receive dkp. To receive this bonus, the player must :

Be online for the duration of the raid.

Be willing to drop what they are doing and come to the raid at any time if needed.

Players can do whatever they want during this time including pvp, dungeons, raids, ect... so long as they are willing to come to the raid whenever asked.

DKP Tooltip Addon

We have an addon which will show you the Item Level, DKP value and upgrade DKP value of the item in it's tooltip. You can download it here.

Off Spec Items

If an item receives no bids then it and no alts roll on it then it will be opened up for free roll as an off spec item. There are several situations where someone can roll off spec :

The item is one that the player would use for something other than their primary raid role. The most common examples include players using items for pvp and hybrids using gear for other specs. As long as the player is not going to use the item for their main raid role then they may roll off spec for it for any other purpose.

The item is one that the player has purchased with dkp before and they want a second one to enchant or gem differently.

The player is on their alt to fill a need in the raid for a class/role.

If a player regularly raids as their off spec for certain fights that we are working on then they can ask for priority on the off spec roll. An example of this would be a dps warrior who periodically tanks. It will be up to the raid leader whether priority will be given. Alts that are brought in for raid fights also have priority in this way.

Temporary respecs do not affect a player's primary spec. If a hybrid player wishes to permanently change his primary spec he must get approval from the Officers.

If a healer and a caster dps hybrid both off spec roll on the same item(the former intending to use it for dps and the latter intending to use it for healing), then the caster dps will have priority if the item has mana per 5 and the healer will have priority if it does not. For unusual items such as trinkets or anything else in which the value of the item for healing vs. dps is controversial the officers have the ability to make the judgement on who, if anyone, should get priority. All such judgements are final and time will not be spent in raid debating them.

IMPORTANT NOTE : If you off spec roll on an item then you cannot use it in your main raid set. All raid drop items in your main raid set must be paid for with dkp. Conversely, the opposite is also true - If you pay dkp for an item you must use it in your raid set. You cannot bid dkp on an item you will use solely for off spec purposes.

Off Spec Addendum and Clarification

Any DPSer that chooses to change their play style in a way which would make using an offspeced item a primary item in that players raid set then that player MUST tell the raid leader/dkp officer and make sure that they are charged for the item that they had previously offspeced.  If the officers find out after the fact that you are using an offspeced item in your raid set then you will be charged double dkp for that item.  It is your responsibility to inform us the moment you change specs or play style and plan to use offspeced items.  The only exception for this would be if requested to change specs for a specific fight similarly to how we ask DPS to go tank or healing in specific  instances. It is the player's responsibility to track their own dkp and bring up any discrepancies with the officers.

Any raid player that plans to change roles completely from dps to heals, tank to heals, dps to tank etc,  that wishes to change specs needs to inform the raid leader/dkp officer also as soon as they want to change permanently.  In this case sense so much gear has been offspeced it will be up to the officers to decide wether or not the player will be charged dkp for them.  In most cases the player will not be charged for all the items they use but will be left at their current dkp levels.  Final say on all of these matters lies in the officers and the officers hold the right to award items to whomever we choose.
